This 8-day/7-night jaunt through Cambodia and Viet Nam's highlights take visitors on a wide-ranging tour through each country's capitals and other major stops.
Begin your sublime journey of heritage sites and cultural city spots in the gateway to the world famous temples of Angkor, Siem Reap.
On the day you arrive, visit Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake, the Tonle Sap, for its floating and fishing villages; Artisan d’ Angkor for the art of Khmer traditional carving; and the old and night markets for shopping. Your second day in Siem Reap will bring you into the lost city of the Khmer Empire as you explore the eerie remains of Angkor Thom, the jungle-ravaged temple Ta Phrom, the majestic Angkor Wat, and the beautiful sunset view at Pre Rup.
Before you bid Cambodia goodbye, you’ll spend one day in the capital of Phnom Penh where your stops include the iconic Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, the haunting Toul Sleng Museum, and the busy Central Market.
Your next stop is Viet Nam, where you will crawl into a part of the country’s history at the Cu Chi tunnels. You’ll also experience the whir of city life at two of Viet Nam’s famed cities, Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi.
The city tour for HCM includes the historic Reunification Palace and War Museum, shopping haunts Binh Tay Market and Ben Thanh Market, and beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral and Giac Lam Pagoda, among other cultural stops.
In the captivating capital of Hanoi, take a stroll at the sprawling Ba Dinh Sqaure with its vast park and surrounding notable buildings, behold the well-preserved Temple of Literature, and the scenic Hoan Kiem Lake where Ngoc Son Temple is nestled on a nearby island.
Your final stop will have you escaping the city and heading off to Halong Bay. Aboard a boat, you’ll get a chance to explore a few of this natural wonder’s hundreds of limestone islands, including Thien Cung Grotto, Tuan Chau Island, Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, and Sail Island, before returning to Hanoi.
