Race fans flock to the Sepang International Circuit every October to watch the world's top motorcycle racers push their limits on one of the world's most challenging race circuits.
Completed in 1999, the Sepang racetrack confounds race drivers with its tight turns and long straights favoring full-throttle action. With the Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix, the track puts racers to the ultimate test. The wide track tempts drivers into overtaking, and the long straights encourage full-powered acceleration.
Sepang Circuit is closer to the airport than it is to the city center, but racing patrons need not worry: the 2,300 acre complex also houses a shopping complex, golf course and other entertainment facilities. In Sepang and in the city proper, the Mega MotoGP Carnival gives fans a chance to snap up limited-edition souvenirs, grab racers' autographs, and walk the pit lane to see the racing machines up close.
